What the president fails to admit is that he lost the popular vote- and with protesters having come from all over the country they very well could have voted- just not for him.
The President’s Top aide Kellyanne Conway said she didn’t understand the purpose of the protests and stated that:
“We certainly respect people’s First Amendment rights. But I frankly didn’t see the point,” Conway said on ABC’s “This Week.””I mean you have a day after he’s uplifting and unifying and you have folks here being on a diatribe where I think they could have requested a dialogue. Nobody called me and said, ‘Hey, could we have a dialogue?’”
Message to Kellyanne- this march is a harrowing cry from women across the country desperate to have a dialogue with yourself and the new President.
The President’s statements coupled with those of his administration truly show how out of touch they are and oblivious to how many Americans feel about their country moving into the wrong direction. With the GOP actively trying to repeal the reproductive rights of women and the rights of LGBTQ Americans, the Women’s March on Washington along with marches more likely to come- will be movements of resistance to not allow this regime to go forward.
What are your thoughts on the Women’s March on Washington? What do you think the new President and his administration will take away from a protest of Millions on his very first day in office? Do you think that it will be the first of many protests against the Trump regime? Share your thoughts with us below in the comments.
