MANDAN, NORTH DAKOTA – Actress Shailene Woodley signed a plea agreement on Friday, March 24, 2017, to disorderly conduct for her part in the Dakota Access pipeline protest near Standing Rock last October. The “Divergent” star has been a supporter of the Standing Rock water protectors since last August.
As part of her plea, the original of charge of criminal trespass and a misdemeanor charge of engaging in a riot were reduced to the disorderly conduct charge. Additionally, she will serve a one-year unsupervised probation sentence.
Woodley was arrested on October 10, 2016 at the Dakota Access pipeline construction site. She was set to go on trial on March 31. As of Friday, a judge had not approved the plea.
