Jeff Sessions Quietly Prepares To Double Down On Mass Incarcerations As Crime Rates Near Historic Low – Anti Media News

The first few months of the Trump administration have been so full of distractions that many people did not even notice when attorney general Jeff Sessions gave his vision for the future of American law enforcement. It is a dreary future full of harassment towards nonviolent people because of their race or because they choose to relax with marijuana, even if it is prescription medication. Sessions may using the misguided belief that mass incarcerations will decrease crime rates, but studies show it is just not the case.

While he has not listed specific policy changes, Sessions has made it clear that he intends to boost the failed “war on drugs” while renewing the ridiculous sentencing laws that have given the United States the world’s highest incarceration rate.

So, under Session’s leadership, we can expect to see mass incarceration for minor crimes, and even incarcerations for non crimes on a state level.  We can expect to see a lot of non violent people locked away for having marijuana. All of this to help grow the private prison industry and because Sessions refuses to look at the fact that his style does not work and will definitely NOT help make America great. Sessions refuses to accept he is using faulty reasoning to choose his strategy.
