Police are searching for a suspect who shot a recent high school graduate during a road rage incident in Chester County, PA. The suspect is pictured above, along with his red truck.
Chester County, Pa., District Attorney Tom Hogan confirmed on Thursday night that 18-year-old Bianca Nikol Roberson was shot in the head by a man driving a red pickup, according to ABC6.
Roberson was traveling southbound on Route 100 in West Goshen Township toward Route 202 when she tried to merge.
“A red pickup truck merged in at the same time, and the man in the pickup truck pulls out a gun and shot her in the head killing her,” Hogan said. “This is now a murder case.”
Bianca died instantly, and her car veered off the highway and slammed into a tree. The other car sped away onto Route 202 and continued on the Paoli Pike. Authorities discovered Bianca in her car, which was lying in a ditch.
“To that person, to that man who fired that shot, turn yourself in now. Every second you are out there, you are only making this worse for yourself and making this worse for this young lady’s family,” Hogan said.
The driver is described as a man between 20 and 40 years of age with a medium build and blond hair. Police say he was behind the wheel of a red pickup truck with faded paint.
He remains on the loose and is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest or conviction in the crime.
Police are requesting anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact the West Goshen Police Department Traffic Safety Division at 610-696-7400.
