Omalu was unable to determine if Clark could have survived if he had immediate medical help. He also stated any of the 6 bullets that hit him in the back or 1 in the neck could have been the fatal shot. The 8th bullet hit him in the thigh.
The March 18 killing has led to daily peaceful protests in downtown Sacramento.
Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy at Clark’s funeral Thursday and praised their non violent protests, despite officers killing another unarmed man.
“I want the folks in California to know that there’s nothing wrong with how these young people are standing up,” he said. “They’re not being violent, they’re asking for you to stop being violent to them.”
